Symptoms
Reports using a parameter form has been implemented with RUN_REPORT_OBJECT according to the document "Oracle Forms Services – Using Run_Report_Object() to Call Reports with a Parameter Form". When running the report from the form, the parameter form comes up, but when the report is executed it displays an error:
REP-501: Unable to connect to specified database.
Reports that do not use the parameter form run correctly.
When logging into Forms initially, the customer is supplying only the <USER_ID> / <PASSWORD>. The database connect string is supplied by the TWO_TASK environment variable.
