Goal

How To Create Virtual Host Specific to OC4J Applications?

Note:
This document was written primarily for Oracle Application Server 10g Release 2 (10.1.2), though it is applicable to any mod_oc4j installation. There is some 10.1.3 information included to allow this setup to work as the end of Section II. However, if using Oracle Application Server 10g Release 3 (10.1.3), there is new functionality which adds some flexibility. In the new you may add more applications on-the-fly (i.e. without restarting OHS) to a given VirtualHost provided you use the same Routing ID. The below document describes this:

<Note:739881.1> How To Restrict Web Application Access By VirtualHost Using Dynamic Mount Points

If using version 10.1.3, it is recommended to implement the dynamic method.
