Purpose

The purpose of this article is to provide information about the "retry" option for the jobs which is implemented as the result of a new Enhancement Request.

This enhancement is primarily developed for Reports version 11.1 but then backported to several previous versions. The one-off patches are generic, meaning that they can be installed on any platform as long as the version of Reports Server matches. At the time this article is written, the one-off patches were available on versions 9.0.4.3 and 10.1.2.0.2. These patches can be downloaded from My Oracle Support as <Patch:5059573>.

This enhancement is also included in patchset 2 of reports version 10gR2, ie in Reports Server version 10.1.2.2+.

Scope

This article is intended for Oracle 10g, 10gR2, 11gR1 and 11gR2 Application Server / Fusion Middleware Administrators and Support Analysts.
