Opening Excel.exe Using Ole2 In 10g Application Server Machine Fails With ORA-305500 (Doc ID 401588.1)

Symptoms

Problem Statement:

While using OLE2 package to generate excel output with the result of a query, hangs up and gives the following error:

   ORA-305500  Generic Error From the OLE2 package error.
