Information in this document applies to any platform.

Purpose

This article provides a list of configuration considerations to ensure that the Reports Server is optimally tuned to avoid delays for submitted report requests.

Scope

This article is intended for Oracle Reports Administrators and Oracle Support Analysts.

SUPPORT'S PERFORMANCE / TUNING POSITION :

The Support organization is structured and resourced to provide specific solutions for discrete, definable problems which we can diagnose, resolve, and later capture in some form of documentation. Support is not in a position to consider all the elements (hardware, network, middle tier, client, application design/code) which must be considered in performance tuning situations.

Support's role is to ensure the product is working as documented. There are no performance specifications documented for Forms and Reports since the performance of the end product is a function of how it was developed and being used.

What settings are best for your unique environment/usage characteristics will not always be defined in our standard documentation.
