Symptoms
After applying the Oracle 10g Application Server Patch Set non Windows and Solaris platforms, the oraclehomeproperties.xml is incorrectly overwritten, (ie, it takes the Solaris values), preventing future updates of any one-off patch on the Oracle 10g Application Server instance. This applies to BOTH Infrastructure and Midtier installations.
When attempting to install a one-off patch on top of Oracle 10g Application Server Patch Set on operating systems other than Windows or Solaris, the following error will be seen.

Basically it means this patch is not suitable for this operating system.
