This article shows an end to end example on how to configure Oracle Application Server 10.1.3.x for OC4J application clustering and high availability. It talks about the various setup required and how a multi cast ip address/port can be used to achieve load balancing of incoming requests across OC4J instances and transparent fail over across applications within an application cluster.
