Symptoms

Either of the following messages may be signaled when launching processing from Oracle Data Integrator (ODI):

ORA-12505: TNS: listener could not resolve SID given in connection description.

TNS-12505 TNS:listener could not resolve SID given in connect descriptor

java.sql.SQLException: I/O Exception: The Network Adapter could not establish the connection
