Behavior of odiRef.getObjectName() with pMode Parameter Set to "R"
(Doc ID 424176.1)
Last updated on OCTOBER 24, 2023
Applies to:
Oracle Data Integrator - Version 4.1.01.05 to 10.1.3.9.99Information in this document applies to any platform.
Goal
In a specific procedure, it is necessary to retrieve remote object names with Oracle Data Integrator (ODI, formerly Sunopsis), such as:
- on Oracle: OWNER.TABLE_NAME@DBLINK
- on Microsoft SQL Server: SERVER.DATABASE.OWNER.TABLE_NAM
This is done by using the odiRef.getObjectName() substitution method and set the first parameter to "R" (remote). Note if using Sunopsis, the name of the method is SnpRef.getObjectName(). Please see ODI documentation for more details.
What is the behavior of the odiRef.getObjectName() when the pMode parameter is set to "R"?
