Problems with the -XFIELD_SEP parameter of SnpsSQLUnload

This problem can occur on any platform.
Symptoms
When wanting to use non-printable characters as Field Separators with the -XFIELD_SEP parameter of the SnpsSQLUnload API (for example -XFIELD_SEP=03), the program interrupts and the following message is displayed:
java.lang.Exception: Invalid parameter:-XFIELD_SEP
at com.sunopsis.dwg.tools.SnpsSqlUnload.actionSetParameters(SnpsSqlUnload.java)
at com.sunopsis.dwg.function.SnpsFunctionBase.setParameters(SnpsFunctionBase.java)
at com.sunopsis.dwg.tools.SnpsSqlUnload.actionSetParameters(SnpsSqlUnload.java)
at com.sunopsis.dwg.function.SnpsFunctionBase.setParameters(SnpsFunctionBase.java)
