ODI XML Driver Generates Incorrect XML Structures in Memory After DTD/XSD and / or XML Data Is Modified (Doc ID 424584.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 16, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Data Integrator - Version 3.2.03.01 and later
Oracle Data Integrator on Marketplace - Version 1.0.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When using the Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) XML Driver, it appears that the XML structures in the Agent memory are incorrect after having modified the associated DTD (or XSD) and reverse engineered the Datastore.

Stopping and relaunching the Agent resolves the problem but is there an alternative method to restarting the Agent after modifying the XML structure?

Moreover, a similar issue is encountered when the XML file used as a Source for an ODI Integration Interface has been updated. In this case, the data in the Target Datastore contains the original data and does not contain the new data from the updated XML file.
