Symptoms
On Tomcat 5.0, the following messages are signaled when starting ODI Metadata Navigator:
HTTP Status 404 - /snpsrepexp/
type Status report
message /snpsrepexp/
description The requested resource (/snpsrepexp/) is not available.
or
java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException
at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke0(Native Method)
at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(NativeMethodAccessorImpl.java:39)
On Tomcat 5.5, the Application Server is even unable to launch correctly, due to the following message:
org.apache.catalina.startup.ContextConfig applicationWebConfig SEVERE: Parse error in application web.xml
java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Invalid <url-pattern> /*.jsp in filter mapping
at org.apache.tomcat.util.digester.Digester.createSAXException(Digester.java:2719)
at org.apache.tomcat.util.digester.Digester.createSAXException(Digester.java:2745)
