OID Configuration Assistant Failed During 10g Installation With Error "Could Not Contact OID Server" (Doc ID 431282.1)

Symptoms

While using the installer (OUI) to install 10g Application Server Identity Management Infrastructure. The software installs successfully but fails when running the OID Configuration Assistant (OIDCA) embedded in the OUI.

The following errors are seen in the oidca.log:

Setting wallet file protections
Leaving Ldap Post Installation Set File Permissions
Stopping OID Server using OPMN..
Starting OID Server using OPMN..
Fri May 11 09:22:32 EST 2007 Bind request issued. Waiting for OID Server response.
