Symptoms

This article describes how to recover from an error such as this:

Java.Net.Malformedurlexception: Bad Host: "<ABC_DEF>"


Where: <ABC_DEF> = the name of your host

In ascontrol.log you will see the following errors:

ERROR rt.JMXMetricCollectorTarget handleCollectionException.146 - exception occurred during metric
collection

Caused by: java.net.MalformedURLException: Bad host: "ABC_DEF"
