ODI Knowledge Module Called LKM File To Oracle (Sqlldr) Generates Incorrect Control File For Fixed Length Records (Doc ID 435886.1)

Last updated on JUNE 16, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Data Integrator - Version 10.1.3.2.0 to 10.1.3.4.8 [Release 10gR3]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

An Integration Interface is under development to load data from a Unix Flat file to an Oracle table. The characteristics of the Integration Interface are the following :

  • The file has fixed length records.
  • The record separator is specified as Hex 0A.
  • The Load Knowledge Module called LKM File to Oracle (SQLLDR) was referenced in the Flow tab of the Integration Interface.

When the Integration Interface is executed, the step that generates the Oracle SQL*Loader control file does not fill in the position numbers correctly for the two Source fields.

This problem occurs when all the column transformation mappings are set on the Source (radio button) in the Integration Interface Mapping window.

Changes

This note is not valid for ODI 10.1.3.5.0 and beyond, since a new release of this KM was provided.
