Workaround for Content Tracker Install Problem (Doc ID 445678.1)

The Content Tracker installation for version 7.2 and version 7.5.1 will fail if the following Content Server directory is missing:



Content Tracker will appear to be installed and enabled, but the component configuration is corrupted and may interfere with the operation of other components or Content Server itself.

You may see a variety of symptoms associated with an incomplete Content Tracker installation. For example, if you are using Site Studio Designer you may see the following error when attempting to connect to a Content Server with an incomplete Content Tracker install:


Failed to download file "SS_Fragments_Dynamic".

(Network message format error. ContentTrackerServiceRequestFilter.doFilter() -
Unexpected DataException Missing Sct Counter SctServiceCounter)
