Problems with wfRelease, executeService and workflow Update (Doc ID 446452.1)

Symptoms

They have a step with no user intervention. The step waits for update event and then does its action. They can have multiple documents in that step. They are seeing that the update event only works on one content item.
In the update event they are executing the GET_SEARCH_RESULTS to search for the dID of that document to see if it is released and full text indexed, they had previously done a wfRelease to release the document to the indexer. If it is released and full text searched it is sent onward.
