UCM with Verity search engine - Content Items Are Released But Not Searchable

A collection rebuild was performed, but new content is not searchable.  The content is showing as released.

There are no errors showing up in the Content Server logs or server output after turning on logging for verity. There were Verity log files over 2GB in size.
