Information in this document applies to any platform.
This problem can occur on any platform.
Product: Content Server
Version: 7.5.1

Symptoms

When using LDAP provider the following error is observed:

Content Server Access Denied
Access denied to Content Server managed resource. Error receiving response from the primary server for user authentication check.

It only happens sometimes and sometimes can be duplicated by doing the following.

1. Opening IE.
2. Attempting to login using an LDAP user id.
3. Receiving error above.
4. Using the browsers back button and clicking login will sometimes inform that the user is logged in and now it will display who the logged in user is.

Once authenticated with LDAP Content Server does go back to the LDAP server for another authentication later in the browser session. There are sporadic reports that end users are getting the error listed above even after a successful login. The user might just click on Search or Content Management and then be prompted to login again.
