Goal

How To Remove Case Sensitive Searching Using Verity?

Background information:
The default settings for Verity searching will return case sensitive results if the full-text search string is entered with mixed case. For example, a full text search on Computer (mixed case) will return results with Computer. However, a search for the word computer (all lowercase) will return results with computer, Computer, or COMPUTER. And, a search for the word COMPUTER (all uppercase) will also return results with computer, Computer, or COMPUTER.

The advantage to this design is a case sensitive search can be performed by a user who enters a mixed case string. However, should the user desire a case insensitive search, they can enter all uppercase or all lowercase search strings.

In situations where requirements require all searches to be case insensitive, a custom VDK style can be used to change the default search for Content Server.
