CS with detached web server, users cannot log in

Symptoms
After installing the Content Server software, they are unable to log in.
When they click on login they get the error
"cs is unavailable invalid host name "
HttpServerAddress=stellent.xx.xx.mil this is address of web server
They have the Content Server setup with a detached web server
The web server was not pointing back to the CS hostname - changing the web server setup so it pointed to the CS machine fixed the problem
