Goal

Application Express (APEX) and PDF Printing was a new feature in version 3.0. However there are times when this integration fails.

The goal of this article is to verify the reports server instance configuration outside of APEX and within APEX for either BI Publisher, Oracle REST Data Services (formerly known as the APEX Listener) or the Apache FOP.

NOTE : The terminology 'report server' is not referring to the Oracle Reports Server product, but the 'XSL-FO Processing Engine' (eg Oracle BI Publisher, Apache FOP, etc etc).
