Request for Native Documents Made via WebDAV Returns Web-Viewable Rendition (Doc ID 454737.1)

Last updated on APRIL 11, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle WebCenter Content - Version 7.5.1 to 10.1.3.5.0 [Release Stellent to 10gR3]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When attempting to download content from folders via WebDAV, even though the native files are shown, the Content Server is returning the web-viewable. For example, assume you have PDF Converter set up to convert XLS documents to PDFs. When requesting the XLS via WebDAV, the converted PDF is returned. This occurs for all document types on the problem system.

In the Content Server's filter log and server output, you will see the request being made for the native version of the document. However, the web-viewable rendition will be returned with the MIME-TYPE header set to the native document's MIME type. This causes, to use the previous example, the PDF rendition to be opened in Microsoft Excel.

While this issue affects documents returned from WebDAV, anything requested via the Content Server interface will return the correct rendition.
