OIDDAS Does Not Add Users With Non-Default DN Correctly To Groups (Doc ID 457078.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 18, 2021

Applies to:

Oracle Internet Directory - Version 10.1.4.0.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Users with non default DNs, like:

dn: uid=Username,cn=Users,dc=container,dc=<COMPANY_NAME>,dc=com

have been added to a group using OIDDAS .

Even though in the OIDDAS->Configuration tab the RDN is set to uid, after the operation the user DN is switched to cn for owner and uniquemember values, like:

owner=cn=User Name,cn=users,dc=container,dc=<COMPANY_NAME>,dc=com
uniquemember=cn=User Name,cn=users,dc=container,dc=<COMPANY_NAME>,dc=com

STEPS to reproduce the problem:

1. Create a group in the OIDDAS: testsr
2. Set OIDDAS->Configuration -> Attribute for logical name/RDN = uid
3. Add a user to the owners list: username
