Symptoms

Symptom 1: Oracle Internet Directory (OID) cn=orcladmin superuser keeps getting locked after resetting its password using the oidpasswd tool.

This issue can affect any user, not only cn=orcladmin.

 

Symptom 2:

Attempting to bind, connect or logon to Oracle Internet Directory (OID) as cn=orcladmin (the superuser) fails with:

 

Changes

As related to Symptom 1:  Recently made changes to the superuser cn=orcladmin password or any OID user account.

As related to Symptom 2: Maximum attempts made to bind as user/account have been made using incorrect password
