ADF Application Portletized with JSF Portlet Bridge does not Deploy (Doc ID 459798.1)

Symptoms

Deploying an ADF Application portletized with the JSF Portlet Bridge throws the following error:

Starting application : webappportlet
Initializing ClassLoader(s)
application : webappportlet is in failed state
Operation failed with error:
Shared library "oracle.wsrp" could not be found.

Deployment failed


Steps To Reproduce:

  1. Have an ADF application, i.e. take the SRDemo Application from TutorialADFBC-EndOfChapter5.zip
    Oracle Application Development Framework Tutorial for Forms/4GL Developers (10.1.3.1.0)
  2. Portletize the ADF Application using the JSF Portlet Bridge as explained in the documentation here:
    19.5 Building Portlets from Oracle ADF Faces Applications (JSF Portlet Bridge) of Oracle WebCenter Framework Developer's Guide 10g (10.1.3.2.0)
  3. Create a WAR deployment profile.
  4. Try to deploy it into an OC4J container.
  5. Notice the following deployment-time error:

    Starting application : webappportlet
    Initializing ClassLoader(s)
    application : webappportlet is in failed state
    Operation failed with error:
    Shared library "oracle.wsrp" could not be found.

    Deployment failed
