This problem can occur on any platform.
Symptoms
When trying to rename an Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) Variable, Designer GUI hangs and the CPU usage saturates at 100%.
The ODI GUI must be killed to get the workstation back to normal behavior.
Note that the Variable to be renamed is used in the "Refreshing" statement of another ODI Variable. This may be checked from the "Used in" node below the Variable name.
