Content Stuck in GenWWW - "Indexing Failed" Error Message on the Content Information Page (Doc ID 467761.1)

Symptoms

Content items stuck in GenWWW state while replicating content from one server to another. The error on Content Information page says:

"Indexing failed. Unable to find the file
'/stellent/prod/dfes/consumption/weblayout/groups/academies/documents/adacct/dfes001547 .xml'"

A manual checkin also fails at random with a similar error.
