Goal

OPMN uses dynamic discovery to contact other ONS servers in a cluster environment. The opmn.xml file contains a multicast address or list of discovery servers that is used by OPMN. ONS uses the discovery mechanism to announce new servers to a cluster and join them into the ONS topology dynamically.

If you don't want to use multicast address or the remote OPMN node list, but still want to use the new discovery approach to construct the OPMN topology then you can use a slightly differnet approach. This is known as Discovery Server Configuration and how to use this is the purpose of this document.
