The createinstance command clones the home opmn.xml configuration
(Doc ID 470021.1)
Last updated on OCTOBER 27, 2023
Applies to:
Oracle Containers for J2EE - Version 10.1.3.0.0 to 10.1.3.3.0 [Release AS10gR3]Information in this document applies to any platform.
This problem can occur on any platform.
Symptoms
When using the createinstance command to create a new OC4J container, the complete "home" container configuration in opmn.xml is cloned to the new instance entry.
The container created by createinstance is a little bit different than the container created by AS Control. By default, the createinstance will clone the home settings in opmn.xml for the new OC4J instance. However the AS Control will use an internal opmn snippet as a template for the new OC4J instance.
