Saving Issues when ODI Integrates Data into a Multi Sheet Excel File (Doc ID 550709.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 07, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Data Integrator - Version 3.2.03.01 and later
Oracle Data Integrator on Marketplace - Version 1.0.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

An Excel File is composed of 2 sheets: SHEET_ODI and SHEET_AUTO.

Several Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) Integration Interfaces or Mapping successfully load data into named zones on SHEET_ODI.

When opening the Excel File, without having operated any update, Excel invites you to save the file:

If the file is not saved, information on SHEET_AUTO is not set. This may be verified by using SHEET_AUTO as source information for other ODI Integration Interfaces or Mapping.

Note that the information on SHEET_AUTO is automatically calculated from the one filled in by ODI on SHEET_ODI.

Examples of formulas/functions set in cells on SHEET_AUTO:

=VALUE(SHEET_ODII!M3)
=VALUE(SHEET_ODI!A2)
