Purpose

This bulletin explains how Microsoft (MS) Active Directory (AD) synchronization works and how group changes may be affected, in Oracle Internet Directory (OID) with Directory Integration Platform (DIP).

Scope

This information should be used in conjunction with the Oracle Identity Management Integration Guide.   This additional information will explain why certain Active Directory operations may be ignored by the DIP Synch process.

Within this document the term Microsoft Active Directory may also be referred to AD.
