How To Use Version Management in ODI (Doc ID 733668.1)

Purpose

When starting to work with Versions and Solution (i.e. Advanced Version Management [AVM]) features of Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), it is not always easy to understand where to start and how to implement it.

The goal of this Bulletin is to help to understand the set of features included in AVM and to give some Best Practices on using them.

The article applies to all releases of ODI like the current 12C as well as to previous 11g releases.

Scope

To be able to use the AVM (i.e. Advanced Version Management [AVM]) features, it is required to have a working knowledge of ODI and an understanding of the general architecture of  this tool.
