Symptoms

On Sun SPARC Solaris 64bit platform a relinking error occurs when applying Identity Management patch, or any update that requires relinking of the Oracle Internet Directory (OID) executables.

Example opatch output:

....
Running make for target oidldapd.

OPatch found the word "fatal" in stderr, please look into it.
You may have to run the make again.
Stderr Output (from /app/oracle/product/iASinfra/.patch_storage/8331138/make_local.stderr):
Undefined first referenced

symbol in file

gslusffanFreeAttrNode /app/oracle/product/iASinfra/lib//libgsldb10.a(gsldp.o)

ld: fatal: Symbol referencing errors. No output written to oidldapd

make: Fatal error: Command failed for target `oidldapd'

Running make for target install.

OPatch found the word "fatal" in stderr, please look into it.
You may have to run the make again.
Stderr Output (from /app/oracle/product/iASinfra/.patch_storage/8331138/make_local.stderr):
Undefined first referenced

symbol in file

gslusffanFreeAttrNode /app/oracle/product/iASinfra/lib//libgsldb10.a(gsldp.o)

ld: fatal: Symbol referencing errors. No output written to oidldapd

make: Fatal error: Command failed for target `oidldapd'

....

Attempts to relink the OID executable manually using 'make -f ins_ldap.mk install' also fail with the same error.

Changes

Install the Oracle Application Server 10.1.2.3 patchset into an Oracle Identity Management 10.1.4.x ORACLE_HOME on Sun SPARC Solaris 64bit platform.
