Bulkload Fails Immediately - Nothing Written To The Command Line

Symptoms
When attempting a bulkload from a file produced by ldifwrite, the command simply returns to the command prompt without any output, OR an error is produced during the generate phase regarding missing attribute or alias for the attribute. In this example the offending index was named 'stree2' but this error has been encountered with other attributes as well.
Symptom #1. Running bulkload connect=<OID_DB> index=true reports problems with schema
Symptom #2. running bulkload connect=<OID_DB> check=true file=<FILENAME> runs normally.. e.g.. produces output at end of run.
Symptom #3. Bulkload produced error during the generate phase as follows:
Error in getting syntax for attribute - <ATTRIBUTE_NAME>
Symptom #4. Bulkload produced error during the load phase as follows:
Datagen Error : Error in getting alias for attribute - stree2
Symptom #5. A dump of the OID Schema reveals no such attribute named in the error.
Symptom #6. An analysis of the LDIF file being loaded shows no such attribute named in the error.
Sympton #5. Running the following query returns one row:
