How Can I Dynamically Connect to Multiple ODI Data Servers with a Unique Logical Server (Doc ID 741386.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 02, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Data Integrator - Version 3.2.03.01 and later
Oracle Data Integrator on Marketplace - Version 1.0.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

NOTE: In the examples below, the names represent a fictitious sample for clarity. Any similarity to actual environments, past or present, is purely coincidental and not intended in any manner.

The production environment has a large number of data servers having identically the same relational table structure in the same Physical Schemas but for which the Data Server connection URLs, the user account, and its associated password are different for obvious reasons.

Is it possible to set up a unique Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) Integration Interface or Mapping using ODI Variables which may treat each one of  these Data servers as logically identical in order to be able to sequentially run the same Integration Interface on each of the multiple different data servers ?
