Goal

This Note explains how to authenticate a JDeveloper 10.1.3.x Web Service Proxy (Client) to a HTTP Proxy Server when invoking a Web Service.

When you have a Web Service fronted by a HTTP proxy server, a failure to send the Proxy Authentication details from a Web Service Client can result in the following error being returned :
