While Using "AllowMatchUseInternetSearch=true", Searching Phrased Options-List Values with "<matches>" Throws "If you are looking for the phrase [Some phrase], please put double quotes (") around it" (Doc ID 745050.1)

Last updated on MAY 01, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle WebCenter Content - Version 10.0 to 10.1.3.3.2 [Release 10gR3]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Using the <cs>/config/config.cfg option "AllowMatchUseInternetSearch=true" works when users select xMetadata options-list values of phrases-with-spaces from the search page, but when defaulting these phrase values in the Search profile page, the searches fail with the error:

Search query 'dDocType <matches> `SomeDocType` <AND> dSecurityGroup <matches> `Public` <AND> xSomeField <matches> `Some phrase`' does not return any results. If you are looking for the phrase [Some phrase], please put double quotes (") around it. For example: "Some phrase".

Putting additional quotes in the default (<$dprDefaultValue=""Some phrase""$>) returns a search result but causes the profile to display differently than the way it is setup - for example the group header does no show up.
