Purpose
The purpose of this document is to provide a guide on how to track an object from the physical filesystem, through the database, to the searchable record in a client. This procedure is often useful for troubleshooting a variety of issues with object retrievals, amongst other more generic problems.
Note: It is expected that the audience be familiar with relational databases and their administration tools. As this guide involves direct queries against a database, it is also recommended you perform all necessary backups prior to running these queries.
