Upon Selecting Any Admin Applet, You Receive the Error "Unable to update the schema information for 'Application'."

Upon attempt to start any of the Content Server Administration Applets (Repository Manager, Configuration Manager, Archiver, Weblayout Editor), the applets fail to prompt you for your log-in credentials and instead an error dialog box is presented with the following error:

Content Server Message
Unable to update the schema information for 'Application'. Unable to instantiate
java class code for 'SchemaTargetConfig' at location
'intradoc.shared.schema.SchemaTargetConfig' with default location at
'intradoc.shared.schema.SchemaTargetConfig'. java.lang.NullPointerException



Two items need to be present for this issue to occur:

  1. The affected user base is using the Microsoft Internet Explorer web browser.
  2. You recently upgraded an older Content Server version to a newer 10gR3 version.
