Master Note on Oracle WebLogic Server Proxy Plug-In Support Patterns
(Doc ID 761125.1)
Last updated on SEPTEMBER 25, 2020
Oracle WebLogic Server - Version 6.1 to 8.1 Information in this document applies to any platform.
This document provides links to support patterns related to troubleshooting problems with WebLogic Server web server plug-ins.
General Diagnostic Process for Problems with Proxy Plug-in
Configure the WebLogic Proxy Plug-ins (iPlanet/SunOne, Apache, IIS) with a few additional parameters to produce diagnostic data, if identified issues are encountered. See General Diagnostic Process for Problems with WebLogic Server (WLS) Proxy Plug-in Support Pattern (<Note 780007.1>) for details.
HTTP Load Balancing Problems in Cluster Using Proxy Plug-in
The load balancing of HTTP requests among WebLogic cluster nodes is uneven, i.e., one or more nodes in cluster are receiving and executing more HTTP requests than the other nodes in same cluster. See WebLogic Server (WLS) Support Pattern: HTTP Load Balancing Problems in Cluster Using 10g (v1.0) and 11g (v1.1) Proxy Plug-ins (<Note 1330000.1>) for details.
Plug-Ins and SSL
This Pattern provides an understanding in using the WebLogic Plugin and SSL. It describes in detail questions to ask when architecturing the environment. The three web Servers used as examples are: Apache, iPlanet (SunOne), and Microsoft IIS. See WebLogic Server Plug-Ins and SSL Support Pattern (<Note 780026.1>) for details.
