Goal

During the installation of Tuxedo for OpenVMS, or installation of patches for same, warnings are emitted about
dependencies on a layered product that is not needed at all. Sometimes those messages recommend that the user
terminates the installation. Not good. Some examples:

$ prod install tuxedo /source=$1$DIA4:[]  /dest=$3$DKB400:[TUXEDO]

%PCSI-W-SFTREFWRN, referenced product DEC AXPVMS DECNET_OSI was not found for product DEC AXPVMS OPENVMS V7.1
Terminating is strongly recommended. Do you want to terminate? [YES] no

---

While investigating this case, one test installation ended in a crash:

BEA VMS TUXEDO V6.5-181

Do you want the defaults for all options? [YES]

Do you want to review the options? [NO]

Hopefully this crash was a freak incident. Nevertheless, the packaging procedure needs to be improved.
