Symptoms

You want to consume a web service from the data server using the PL/SQL UTL_DBWS package.
PL/SQL will call the webservice and pass a BLOB/CLOB ( a PDF document for example) to the web service in synchronous mode. The data server is Oracle version 10g R2 (10.2.0.x). 

When the response exceeds 64 kb following error will occur:

ORA-00932: inconsistent datatypes: expected a return value that is an instance of a user defined. Java class convertible to an Oracle type got an object that could not be converted
