Object Does Not Match What Was Originally Stored and "Object Validation Failed" Errors on IPM Storage Server When Attempting to Retrieve Objects (Doc ID 791004.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to retrieve certain objects, the following errors are reported in the IPM Storage Server log:

Object Validation Failed! Storage Server x, Volume xxxxxxx, Object xxxxxx does not match what was originally stored!

and

Failed to save object xxxxxx rc = 24892

Note: Error 24892 means the page already exists.

Changes

This issue normally affects IPM annotation files updated by more than one user in quick succession. This issue can also be caused by any operation that would change the entries in the database or the actual size of the file.
