Capture Errors When Attempting to Connect to UCM Commit Driver Configured Through SSL (Doc ID 793137.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to connect to WebCenter Content using the Capture "UCM Commit Driver" over an SSL connection, the following error is received:

HTTP transport error: javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException:
sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed:
sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target; nested exception is:

The error is received by any Capture component that will connect to Content.  This includes:

• The administration console, for creating and administering the commit profile for Content.
• All Capture servers when attempting to commit to Content.

Changes

The SSL certificate has expired / has been altered on the Content server.

OR

No SSL certificate has been installed on the WebCenter Capture systems.
