WebCenter Distributed Capture Data Integrity Errors with Pick-List Fields (Doc ID 796169.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 29, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle WebCenter Distributed Capture - Version 5.3 to 10.1.3.4.0 [Release Stellent to 10gR3]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Intermittently, batches created by WebCenter Distributed Capture 5.3 will truncate a pick-list field containing separate display and commit values. This only seems to happen when the display value is larger than the max field length for that field, but intermittently.  In other cases, information from other fields are being erroneously populated into the pick-list field also causing data integrity errors.  Here is an example of an error that might occur in the PPS(DATE).log file.

***Error*** Failed to process batch 04652891_04731303. Error Number: -2147191477, Error: Failed to commit batch (with delete). The data on page 6 field 03.Division violates the data integrity rules for fields of that type. The data entered was 42190153
