Incorrect Datatypes Found when The ODI XML Driver Reverse Engineers an XSD File with Identically Named Subelements with Different Datatypes
(Doc ID 815625.1)
Last updated on OCTOBER 11, 2023
Applies to:
Oracle Data Integrator - Version 10.1.3.4.7 and laterOracle Data Integrator on Marketplace - Version 1.0.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
When using the Oracle Data integrator (ODI ) XML driver to reverse engineer an XSD file containing two sub-elements - with the same name - and present in two different upper-level elements, for which the datatypes are radically different:
- xs:integer
- xs:string
... the Datatypes of the reverse engineered Datastore Columns are identical - NUMBER 10
This is not what is to be expected. Is there a problem here with the ODI XML Driver?
The article applies to all releases of ODI like the current 12C as well as to previous releases.
