Purpose

With Oracle Data Quality Metabase Server and Scheduler (ODQ) running on Unix/Linux platforms, when attempting to create an Entity from a DB2 Loader Connection in ODP/ODQ, most of the time the following error occurs:

 
As pkgDb2Adapter.so comes with the product install, does exist in the above path, and the user has proper privileges to that directory, it is confusing why this error would occur. This Note intends to show why the above error happens and provides diagnostic steps to help resolve this issue.
