Symptoms

Certain OC4J instance configuration files may get 'corrupted' / 'overwritten' in these scenarios

1. The DCM resyncInstance command with the '-force' is issued manually

If Portal has been SSL configured post install, a dcmctl resyncInstance will remove the SSL information from this file:

ORACLE_HOME/j2ee/OC4J_Portal/applications/portal/portal/WEB-INF/web.xml

Also if any files have been manually added or edited in the ORACLE_HOME/j2ee directory structure the files will be removed or overwritten.
