Purpose

Introduction

 

This feature is *NOT* available for Forms 10.1.2.X and earlier versions.


With the new Forms 11g release, one of the main feature is the introduction of javascript integration with the forms applet. In this bulletin, we shall see the necessary changes to the environment as well as explanation of the built-ins that can be used effectively to implement this feature.

 

NOTE:  The sample program in this article is provided for educational purposes only and is NOT supported by Oracle Support Services. It has been tested internally and works as documented. However, no error checking has been included in the JavaScript examples.  Also, we cannot guarantee that it will work in all possible configurations, so be sure to test it in your test environment before deploying it.

Scope

Anyone with a basic knowledge of Forms,html and javascript can implement this functionality
